Press & reuse

Berlinfographics publishes original infographics on the history of Berlin. You are welcome to republish them, quote our figures and use our images, free of charge, under CC BY 4.0.

How to credit

Credit Berlinfographics and, online, link to the page of the infographic. The short form is:

Berlinfographics (berlinfographics.com), CC BY 4.0

Every page ends with a Use this Berlinfographic section with a ready credit line, a full citation and a Wikipedia {{cite web}} template you can copy.

Ready-to-use images

Each infographic comes as one finished image that carries the key facts, chart, sources and credit on its own — a landscape version (16:9) for articles and a square version (1:1) for social media and narrow columns. Please publish them unedited; if you need a different crop, a language version or a higher resolution, write to press@berlinfographics.com.

Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons

CC BY 4.0 is compatible with Wikimedia Commons. You may upload our ready-to-use images to Commons with the licence tag {{cc-by-4.0}}, the author Berlinfographics (Berlin Experiences) and the source URL of the infographic's page, and cite our pages in articles as you would any published source. Please cite the original sources we name as well, especially for contested figures.

What the licence covers

Our infographics, charts, texts and the ready-to-use images. It does not cover the photographs shown inside some stories, which belong to their archives and photographers and keep the licences named in their captions, or the underlying data, which remain the work of the publishers we cite. Many of these photographs are CC BY-SA (ShareAlike): when one appears inside a ready-to-use image, keep its credit and licence with it, and if you change that photograph, share your changed version under the same licence. Our own parts of the image remain CC BY 4.0.

Accuracy and corrections

Every figure is taken from a named source, and you can tap any underlined figure on a page to see where it comes from. Where sources disagree we show the range rather than pick a number. If you find an error, tell us at info@berlinfographics.com; we correct it on the page concerned.
